Chance Davis: 2nd All-American

Chance DavisIn Chance Davis' third wresting seaon, and first season with Dynamic Wrestling, he moved from the Junior Division to the Schoolboy Division, where the number of wrestlers seemed fewer, however, the caliber of wrestler seemed to increase significantly.  It was apparent early in the season that the competition was different, and that Chance was not quite at level of the competition, as he failed to place in several of the early tournaments.  However, as the season progressed, he began to have more successes, and by the end of the season was placing in most tournaments, including 2nd place finishes in both the AAU Middle School Championship and the NC AAU State Championship.  I attribute much of this success to Chance's dedication, work ethic and determination on the mat.  However, I also attribute much of his success to the quality of wrestler he's become over the course of this first season with Dynamic Wrestling.  Chance is a much more skilled and determined wrestler this season, due in large part to the coaching staff at Dynamic Wrestling, and the program they've put together.  The focus on technique, conditioning, and instilling a winning attitude provide the fuel and ability to be successful.  In addition, the quality of wresting practice partners pits him against wrestlers at the top of the their game on a regular basis.  There was rarely less that 3, and often as many as 6, quality wrestlers in his general weight class to drill with at each practice.  To quote the parent of another wrestler, "these guys hold each other accoutable", and drive each other to be better.  It'd be hard not to be successful with that level of support and talent around you.  While practices were intense and demanding, I know Chance always came away knowing that he had accomplished something, and was always excited for the next practice day.  I also could also see his confidence grow each time he stepped on the mat.  While we've taken a break this spring to focus on other activities, Chance still considers wresting his number one sport, and looks forward to his second season with the Dynamic Wrestling team.

Chad McDuffie: 2007 4A State champion

Chad McDuffieWhen I was a freshman at Fuquay-Varina High School back in 2003-04 I begin wrestling to stay in shape for football. The summer after my freshman year my wrestling coaches recommended the underclassmen on our team to go to wrestling camps, and join clubs, if they wanted to continue to get better in the off-season. This is the time when I first met Stan and Randy of the Dynamic Sports Group. At Dynamic I was pushed hard to be great on and off the mat, and the results came fast and were very obvious. By the end of my senior year in high school I was the North Carolina class 215lb state champion! Thanks to the life lessons and tough love shown by the Dynamic Sports Group I was able to achieve things in wrestling that before hand I would have never even thought possible.

Accomplishments

  • 3x All Conference
  • 2x Mid-east Regional Champion
  • 2007 NC 4A 215lb State Champion
  • 2007 Senior National Qualifier

Education

I began my college career playing football at Campbell University in Lillington, NC. I have since transferred to St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC were I am still playing football. I have a 3.8 GPA at St. Augustine’s College and have made their President’s list the last two years in a row.

Mikail Mannan: 6th, 4A State Tournament

Dynamic sports group gave me a positive environment when I needed it most throughout high school. My older brother got me into wrestling when I was a freshman. In that summer of my freshman year my teammate dragged me into my first dynamic practice. I remember first seeing how structured  the practice was. Everyone was doing what they were supposed to and working hard. I stuck with dynamic because I wanted to become a better wrestler. I was unaware of all the other benefits of the program. There was a great community of people that were determined to help each other. I learned responsibility, hard work, and motivation. The trips to various tournaments really helped me to improve as a wrestler and build friendships. Helping to coach the youths gave me experience working with children. I have made lifelong friends and memories because of this group.  I feel dynamic truly helped me to become a better person and strengthened my morals. The coaches were generous and kind towards every new athlete that walked through the door. I will never forget the impact these coaches have had on my life.

I am studying Biomedical Engineering at North Carolina State University and working in the department labs. The program is difficult but I've learned because of dynamic that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

Spencer Todd
Spencer ToddAs a junior I moved to Cary and decided to take up wrestling. It wasn’t until I set foot into a Dynamic practice that my wrestling career truly began. Dynamic gave me so much more than just learning how to wrestle. It helped me grow as a person. It helped me learn self-confidence, perseverance, and determination. All of this was because of coaches Randy Dennis and Stan Chambers who taught and guided me through the entire process.. Now that my wrestling career has come to end, I will always cherish the memories and accomplishments such as being voted captain by my team, winning medals, qualifying for regionals, and winning The Coaches Award. I don’t think that I could have accomplished what I have without the knowledge and guidance of my team and coaches.

Pedram Rahmatabadi

Dynamic helped me pull a complete 180 spin on my life. When i started as a high school freshman, i weighed 160 pounds at 5'2" with little athletic skill and was on Green Hope's JV wrestling team. Within a year i was down to 135 and by my junior year i weighed about 123 at 5'7, had become captain of the varsity team and qualified for the state tournament. Through many years of hard work with the club, I've gained leadership skills, confidence, physical health and many other skills that will benefit me in my lifetime. Most importantly though, i learned that no matter what anyone says if i really want to achieve a goal, i can achieve it through hard work and dedication. Wrestling helped get me into my current college, North Carolina State University, and though i don't wrestle currently the lessons i learned throughout my experiences with Stan, Randy, and Tony will most likely impact my life forever.

Sam Hoerdemann
Sam HoerdemannBefore wrestling at dynamic, I didn't how to push myself to my limits.  The coaching staff at Dynamic Sports Group helped me learn that great success comes only through lots of hard work.  It truely changed my outlook on the sport of wrestling, and life. With the help of Dynamic coaches, I made it to the finals of every wrestling tournament I was in during my junior and senior years in high school.  Also, the training that I received in their mat room helped me get a division 1 scholarship and really impressed my college coaches.  Dynamic Sports Group is the best place to come to raise your skill level and intensity.

J.J. Greenstein: 5th Place - 4A State Championship

JJ GreensteinI came to Dynamic as a wrestler and a student who continuously underachieved. From my time at Dynamic, and the support of Coach Chambers and Coach Dennis, I brought my grades and my wrestling skills up to their full potential. Without their support and teaching I never would have gone on to place at the 2008 4A State Championships, nor would I have gone on to be a successful student in college. I have carried the lessons I've learned at Dynamic with me now, as I pass them on to a new generation of wrestlers as a Coach at Athens Drive High School, and as a student, at North Carolina State University.

Accomplishments:

I use the lessons I learned from Dynamic on a daily basis and these lessons continue to give me the drive to become the best person that I can be. Brett Farina
brett_farina Six years ago, as a freshman in high school, I joined Dynamic.  This club is a unique since it connects wrestling with life, teaching individual’s life lessons in addition to character traits that will always be embedded in them, even after wrestling. Throughout high school my experience with Dynamic has been life changing. As a freshman I was 5’ 2’’ and 160 lbs., and was not the most athletic kid. Looking for a sport that I could get involved in I chose wrestling because I wanted to get into shape. After my first high school season and losing almost every match I decided that I wanted to get better at wrestling. My Dad researched various clubs that I could join for the off-season to improve my wrestling abilities, and discovered Dynamic.  This club had the national coach of the year, Stan Chambers, and I knew that Dynamic would turn the potential that I had into reality.

During the next four years Dynamic not only became a club for me, it was like my second home. Year-round I traveled with Dynamic all over the nation facing the best competition. As a result of this I was prepared me for my high school season when I had to wrestle the best in the state of North Carolina.  My number one goal for high school was to make it to the state tournament. I met this goal my senior year and this proved to me that through hard work and dedication I could do anything. Not only did Dynamic teach me how to wrestle, but I learned more important values in life such as goal-setting, teamwork, perseverance, courage, self-discipline in addition to many more life lessons.  After my senior year I was upset about leaving the sport and talked to the Dynamic coaches about it. Then Randy Dennis, a dynamic coach, made a phone call and that was when I had a meeting with Carter Jordan about walking on to the North Carolina (N.C.) State University wrestling team.

As a Redshirt freshman going into my Redshirt Sophomore year I have used many of the values that I have learned at Dynamic and transferred these skills over to N.C. State wrestling room in addition to my schoolwork. I was placed on scholarship at the end of my freshman year and am excelling in my school work with a 3.2 grade point average (GPA). Now, as a dynamic alumnus, I still keep in contact with everyone who is associated with Dynamic. The professional hands-on staff that Stan Chambers surrounds himself with is why Dynamic is constantly producing National champions, All-Americans, State champions and placers. Looking back at high school I am glad I chose dynamic and know that it will always be part of my life.

Jon Burns: 2007 National Champion

jon_burnsDynamic Sports Group has truly been a blessing to my life. I was one of the first members of Dynamic almost 7 years ago and I have seen talented kids transform in to tremendous athletes. I owe a lot of my wrestling career to the Dynamic staff. My freshman year at a tournament, I got into a technical complication at a weigh-in, and Coach Randy and Stan, who didn't even know me, were in my corner fighting for me. Shortly after, I started going to the club practices and they both told me that I was good, but they could make me great. I bought into their program, and they took me to the top, literally. I finished my high school career ranked #2 in the nation. Off the wrestling mat, Dynamic has also had a big impact on my life. These coaches are also my family, and do everything that is in their power to help my when I am in need. This group is everything that embodies THE IDEAL WRESTLING CLUB...it is truly DYNAMIC!

Accomplishments

  • 2x Undefeated State Champ

  • 2x All-American

Anthony Rogers: 2008 State Champion

Anthony RogersI decided to start wresting my freshman year in high school, at that time I had never wrestled and was mainly joining the team to stay in shape for football and baseball and didn’t want to take a season off.  I had no idea that how wrestling would change my life.

It has not only taught me discipline but showed me that anything you want in life you can achieve with dedication and hard work.  I first joined Dynamic Club my freshman year.  My high school coach, Alex Von Hoene, told me it was a great place to work out at and that Stan and Randy are the best in the area and will help me with not only my wrestling technique but help me with life.  This was such a true statement they both taught me so much.  I would look forward to going to the club whenever I could.  We would work hard, they were never easy on us but it taught me that nothing in life is easy.  I feel I have become a better person because of them and my high school coach.  They were like my family and I always was welcome there and knew I better come ready to work.  I also met friends there that I will remain close with the rest of my life, we would spend summers at the club helping with the younger kids, it was such a feeling of accomplishment when you can teach a younger boy something new and help them gain self confidence and want to work harder.

John Kunkel: 3rd Place, State Championship
John KunkelDynamic has helped me develop in competition and life beyond what I thought possible. I gained the skills and mentality to be great on and off the mat. The coaching staff has helped me grow as an athlete, a student and a person. The club is a place where I know I can get a great workout and be surrounded by the best coaching and competition. My high school career in academics and wrestling would not have been possible without the Dynamic Sports Group.

Elijah Adams: 2nd, 4a State Tournament
elijah_adamsDynamic has helped me accomplish many goals that seem to be impossible feats. It gave me a place to practice and fine tune my skills, even on snow days. I feel the coaches gave me just the right amount of attention. They stayed on top of things to make me a tougher and better wrestler. Dynamic also provided great practice partners to help push the tempo. From the technical aspect of wrestling I improved greatly along with my endurance from the conditioning. The club makes wrestling fun while making you better with the great ways of warming up,and keeping a light atmosphere with the friendly jokes accompied with hard drilling. Dynamic help me accomplish some great awards in my senior year of wrestling such as,

Dynamic wrestling has a mentality that you will remember for the rest of your life. Young wrestlers all around North Carolina learn and experience intensity, hard work, good technique, and coaching that will make you a better person and definitly a better wrestler. Dynamic Wrestling will help you throughout your high school career that will help you strive for a State title and even a National Championship. Experiencing Dynamic wrestling puts you at a level of full intensity that will make you push yourself to the physical limit that will make you want to quit.

Al & Billie Burns
The coaches and the atmosphere at Dynamic Sports Group were responsible for our son having two successive undefeated high school wrestling seasons and two national championships, which included the NHSCA Junior Nationals and the prestigious Iron Man. At Dynamic he was given what he needed to be both physically and mentally tough, as well as, the technical skills needed to be a champion. Jon was not only coached and trained but also, treated as family. Jon was also privileged to attend three semesters at the University of Nebraska and now, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill because of his association with Dynamic. No doubt, Dynamic is one of the best things that could have happened to our son and us.

Chris Brown
We were in a unique and tough situation having lost our youth coach when we first walked through the doors at Dynamic. The coaching staff was very understanding and quickly embraced my boys. We had visited several clubs, but what made my boys want to wrestle with Dynamic was the atmosphere in the mat room. My boys liked the fact that everyone in the room was there to work hard and focused on becoming a better wrestler. Our short time in the Dynamic room has helped my boys become better wrestlers and grow their interest in the sport.

Mike Queen
Dynamic did a great job of preparing the wrestlers for success. They were able to break down there coaching to meet the different skill levels of the kids they were instructing. They also did a great job of conveying the principles that will help develop young athletes in wrestling as well as life. They did a great job.

Richard Redfoot
Dynamic Sports Group does a phenomenal job teaching wrestling and, even more importantly, creating a positive environment where the athletes are able to grow as individuals. I have been involved in wrestling my entire life and believe that you will not find a better or more dedicated staff anywhere in the country. The coaches get the most out of the kids and make practices productive for both new and experienced wrestlers. Both of my children wrestled for Dynamic and, based on my personal experiences, I highly recommend Dynamic to any parent or athlete.
