At the same time, Coach Stan Chambers was leading the Cary Wrestling Club. The Cary Wrestling Club had been launched in 1987 by Larry Gray. It was one of the first clubs of its kind in North Carolina and, thanks to the dedication and passion of Coaches Chambers, Nathanial Scott, and Jerry Winterton, the Club was instrumental in developing wrestling as a sport in the Triangle area. During this time with the Cary Wrestling Club, Coach Chambers watched child after child pass through the program and observed the impact that wrestling had on their education. He wanted to harness this and started thinking about expanding the Club’s mission to focus on more “whole person” development, where wrestling, healthy living, hard work, and education drove the Triangle area’s children toward success in life. Collaboration ensued. Mr. Dennis began talking about his brainstorm with his old high school coach, Coach Chambers. They realized that their visions for where wrestling could take children in the future were very similar. Partnering the spirit and passion of Mr. Dennis’ young career with the know-how and momentum of Coach Chambers and the support of the Cary Wrestling Group, gave way to the Dynamic Sports Group. Today, both Mr. Dennis and Coach Chambers continue to lead the Dynamic Sports Group into the future.
